How about some good news? If you live in southeast or mid Michigan you hear the same doom and gloom everyday; The business climate in Michigan continues to struggle along. Most folks in our area agree that the local economy will probably get worse before it gets better. Manufacturing jobs continue to disappear, bankruptcies and foreclosures are at an all time high and home sales are in the tank. The condition of our roads are considered some of the worst in the country. Blah, Blah, Blah!
To get us all in a festive holiday spirit maybe it would help if we consider some of the positive aspects of our local situation.......

• The mid-term elections are finally over and we no longer have to suffer through those annoying political ads.
• The Tigers had a great run and made the world series and are already improving their roster for next year.
• Michigan State football has another new coach. Maybe this time the Spartans picked the right guy.....
• The Detroit Lions stink (again) and will hopefully fire their president Matt Millen by season end. (C'mon Mr Ford, get a better idea!)
• The Pistons and the Wings are both rolling along. Now that’s always an exciting time.
• Detroit is finally building the 3 permanent casinos where we can all make some money.
