Goyette Mechanical is proud to announce the establishment of the Thomas and Genora Goyette Family Scholarship at Ferris State University for the HVACR program. Preference will be given to children of Goyette Mechanical employees and Genesee County students, as well as other requirements for GPA, ACT, SAT, etc. It is anticipated that the scholarship will be awarded to the first recipient in the 2020/2021 school year. Goyette Mechanical employs many FSU graduates and looks forward to employing future recipients of this prestigious scholarship. Go Bulldogs!
For many years, Sky Electric in Lapeer has provided the electrical hook ups and systems for the annual Lapeer Days Festival.
After the acquisition of Sky Electric in January of this year, Goyette Mechanical has assumed the duties and is proud
to support Lapeer Days as well as many other Lapeer Community events for years to come!
Goyette Mechanical is moving its Construction Division to 307 E. Court St. and will transition about two dozen employees to the new location. The company expects to complete the move by late September.
“We are moving our construction estimators and project managers, plus some administrative people,” said Tom Halligan, Goyette’s construction sales manager. “The move is being made to accommodate our recent growth. We will probably hire a few more people over the next 12 months at our Center Road location once the move is complete.”
Headquartered on Gorey Avenue off Center Road, Goyette has been in Flint for nearly a century.
“The City of Flint has been our home for the last 90 years, and with this investment we plan to stay headquartered and continue to grow our presence in the city and Genesee County,” Halligan said. “Supporting the families living and working here has always been a core value of Goyette.”
And, he added:
“We could not be more excited to be a part of the revitalization of the downtown area and look forward to supporting our fellow downtown businesses.”
6,024 homes have had their lines replaced so far in 2017, according to a press release issued by city officials.
ABC12 caught up with workers with Goyette Mechanical to check in on the progress being made.
“The project has gone well all year, summer went great, we’re getting into the colder times, things are going well, better than expected,” said Project Manager Joe Parks.
On October 7, 2016, Jason O’Hara was recognized as “Subcontractor Employee of The Year” by the Gray Construction Company at their annual meeting in Lexington, KY. Jason’s commitment to Safety, Teamwork and Quality caught the attention of Gray Management as he was the only individual this $1.3B company recognized among all of their subcontractor’s employees nationwide! A very impressive statistic!

Jason’s kids were helping him clean out his mobile tool trailer after completion of a project at Adena Beef in Fort McCoy, FL. They could not resist seeing what it felt like to try out some of his gear.
Goyette Mechanical selected as the HVAC Design Build Contractor for restoration of Ransom Gillis House. The structure, unoccupied since the mid-1960s, was “mothballed” by the City of Detroit in 2005/2006, in hopes of restoration in the future.
Gray Construction of Lexington, Ky. recently selected Goyette Mechanical as the design-assist plumbing contractor for Clemens Food Group’s new fresh pork processing plant in Coldwater, Mich. The new facility will span more than 550,000 s.f. of floor space and will house state-of-the-art processing equipment. The plant will be supported by local farmers in the tristate area of Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, and is expected to create approximately 800 new jobs.
Burton, MI – Goyette Mechanical is once again helping to orchestrate Project Heats On in 2015. This is the seventh year for what has become a very worthwhile community outreach event. Project Heats On selects 40+ Burton area homes each year and provides much needed furnace cleaning, repair and even replacement free of charge for families in need. Selected homes also receive free smoke detectors provided by the Burton Fire Department. This year’s event date is Saturday, October 10th.
Energy Savings are a critical part of building renovation and construction. Goyette Mechanical company recently completed an upgrade of a large boiler system at the University of Michigan Flint.
